Travis Rowe, MA Counselling
B.C. Registered Clinical Counsellor
As a therapist, Travis believes that every person has inherent value, is the expert of their own life, and is on a meaningful journey toward healing and wholeness. Since this is only experienced in a genuine, trusting, and honest therapeutic relationship, Travis’ goal is to come alongside people and help them on their journey however they may need him.
In order to do so, Travis draws from a variety of techniques including Person-Centred Therapy as described above; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to help people identify their core beliefs, the ways in which those beliefs affect behaviour, and discover new and healthier ways of responding to their world; and Mindfulness and Emotion-Focused Therapy to help people become more present to themselves, their emotions, and their relationships so that they can accept and let go of the parts of life that are weighing them down.
Travis has a Master of Arts in Counselling Degree from Providence Theological Seminary, and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
He specializes in the areas of depression and anxiety, identity exploration and formation, processing trauma, and suicide intervention. With years of pastoral experience and seminary training, Travis is comfortable exploring issues of faith and spirituality, and Christian counselling. Throughout his career, Travis has worked with a wide range of people from children to older adults and has a passion to help youth and young adults find meaning and purpose for their lives.
Travis offers e-Therapy online counselling and in-person counselling.
