Philip Collins is a Certified Clinical Counsellor with over 40 years of experience in the caring professions. His approach is person-centered and integrative, combining evidence-based methods with compassion, empathy, and trauma-informed care. Philip believes that every person has the capacity for hope, healing, and meaningful change. He provides a safe and supportive environment where clients can process pain, rebuild identity, and move toward renewed confidence and purpose.
Philip works with individuals and couples facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. He also supports clients navigating issues such as low self-esteem, anger, or loss of direction - helping them build resilience, emotional awareness, and practical strategies for growth.

In his work with couples, Philip draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). He helps partners identify and transform negative interaction patterns, build secure connections, and strengthen their bond through honesty, responsibility, and mutual respect. His goal is to help couples move beyond conflict and rediscover closeness, empathy, and trust.

Philip’s career has spanned youth and community work, motivational speaking, and program development for marginalized youth and families. He currently serves as Pastor of Willow Park Church and Chaplain for the Kelowna Fire Department, providing leadership and care within both faith and community settings.
He holds a Master’s in Counselling and a Master’s in Leadership and Theology from the University of Gloucestershire, along with postgraduate training in Drug Intervention (University of Manchester) and a Diploma in Personal and Business Coaching (University of Newcastle).
Philip’s counselling practice is grounded in empathy, integrity, and hope - guiding individuals and couples toward emotional health, stronger relationships, and lasting transformation. Phil has been married to Michelle for 29 years; they have four children and a grandchild. He loves the outdoors and enjoys all the seasons of the Okanagan on the hiking trails and ski hills.
